Exotics and Exotic tuningĭestiny 2’s latest expansion adds 14 new Exotics: six armor pieces, five weapons, and three class-specific Glaives. Invaders should be less frequent and less impactful, and the Primeval phase is going to last much longer, and be nearly impossible to melt. Gambit has felt like the forgotten child of the three playlists in Destiny 2, but it’s getting some key upgrades in the new expansion. Bungie will move the Arc and Solar subclasses to the same system later this year. All of the previous Void Supers will still be available, but there is also a host of new Aspects and Fragments for players to check out. Void 3.0 is the first Light subclass conversion to the Darkness (Stasis) system. Bungie will continue to add to the system each season, adding more and more weapons to craft and level up.

Players will be able to craft a series of weapons (although some will remain random roll only), selecting specific perks and personalizing their guns for years to come. Weapon Crafting is an oft requested feature in the Destiny community, and it’s finally here with The Witch Queen. There’s at least one Legendary Glaive in the campaign, and a unique Exotic Glaive for each class. By dealing damage, Guardians activate a special shield that protects the user from damage. It uses Special ammo, and players can fire explosive bolts from its tip. A cross between a spear, a gun, and a shield, The Glaive is the game’s first first-person melee weapon. The Glaive is a completely new weapon type in Destiny 2: The Witch Queen. There’s a new campaign ( now with a Legendary variant), new activities, Savathun’s Throne World destination, a new raid, and more coming over the next few weeks. The Witch Queen is looking to be one of the biggest expansions we’ve ever seen for D estiny 2, and it’s filled with the kind of content you’d expect from a new Destiny update.

It also adds the new Glaive weapon type to the game, as well as a weapon crafting system. In addition to the usual campaign, raid, Exotics, and a bevy of weapons, this Destiny 2 update fundamentally changes the Gambit game mode and Void subclasses. But The Witch Queen expansion update brings more than just new content.
